About Us

Established in the 1950s by a Swiss businessman and philantropist Jean André, Hi Kidz is an international Christian organization based in Lausanne, Switzerland. Its mission is to reach the greatest number of children with the message of God’s love, and to help them grow with strong moral, spiritual and social values through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This work is undertaken in collaboration with local churches.

We currently operate in the following countries: Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Colombia, France, Guadeloupe, Hungary, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Madagascar, Moldova, Oman, Reunion Island, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Switzerland, Syria, Tajikistan, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan.

Through camps, clubs and a variety of other activities, we help disadvantaged children ages six to fourteen build healthy and well-balanced lives in harmony with themselves, their peers and God. For more information about our activities and mission, please visit our website, www.graindeble.org.

While it is known in the United States as Hi Kidz International, the organization was originally founded – and is still known – in Switzerland and other countries as “Fondation le Grain de Blé,” or Grain of Wheat Foundation.

That is such an apt name for our ministry because, in many ways, Hi Kidz’ can be likened to a tiny seed, which, once planted in fertile soil, grows and multiplies manifold, reaching even the farthest reaches of the earth.

Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.
